Stockpile central - a.k.a. there's a tag in there!

Now that we have also started tagging the main collection (AF to be precise), we don't want any tricksy untagged items to make it back to the shelf in areas we've already tagged. Any ninja untagged items that sneak through will be painful once we go live as they won't be able to be checked out/in without having a tag applied which will be frustrating for our customers. We want to provide a system that will make issung and returning items so much easier and quicker for them, so if we take a few extra seconds now we can prevent minutes of work and a hold up for customers later down the track.

So what do you have to do? So you know how you've been checking outgoing items for RFID tags? Well now you can also start checking the collections that we are retro tagging for RFID tags. If they have one, it can go on the shelving trolley as per the usual. If they don't have one then you can put them aside in the clearly marked basket at the desks. Here are some pics to help make it clearer :)
You can pop the UNTAGGED items in the collections listed in these trolleys (one each at the Unley and Goodwood desks)

As collection segements are tagged, you can add them to the list (texta provided!)

On the returns unit at each branch is a sign reminding staff of what collection areas to keep aside. So as you tag, please add the areas you are working on this.

  1. Thanks Kate for making the tagging project fun with all your laminated posters. Makes it look more appealing.
