And on the eleventh day order was restored

This is one of those Andrew Lindsay recommended moments when you should all pat yourselves (or each other) on the back. Although now I'm writing this why do we say 'pat yourself on the back'? That's a pretty weird and not that rewarding thing to do...so let's start again...

This is one of those moments when you should all high five or fist bump each other for being so awesome. There we go, much better! Why you ask?

Well because everyone's amazing efforts are so evident in that fact that Goodwood is running cool, calm and collected just like before only so so so so so so so so much better, and Unley is looking gooood! This morning there was only the teeny tiniest amount of shelving to do, there's only a small trolley or two (max three!) of items that don't fit on the shelves (mainly AF and AG) and one big one (AV, I'm lookin' at you). The black box back log is well and truly slayed and we are back to normal deliveries - well slightly smaller than normal this week actually! On STAR shifts I'm witnessing regular customers use the kiosks with no assistance required and staff are free-ranging it up with smiles and style.

So, order is reasserting itself, and soon constant customer training and encoding/re-encoding issues will become a thing of the past. Time is flying so fast that we'll be far down the track with this new operating style before we know it, and we'll be looking back wondering how we ever lived without the power of RFID, cooped up behind a desk checking items in and out one at a time. So old school! So go you good things, the future is a pretty cool place.
