Our new name badges have arrived and they look AH-MAZING! If they haven't already, a library RFID fairy will be visiting you in the near future to bestow upon you a pre-RFID gift in the form of two name badges in lovely coordinated fashion colours. You can wear which ever one takes your fancy on any given day.
You no longer have to wear lanyards, so there are some spare swipe card retractable holders and plastic sleeves in the upstairs cupboard @ Unley if anyone requires them. While we should definitely always wear our brilliant new badges whenever we are @ work, this obviously isn't our only method of identification - our welcoming attitudes, approachability and hard work out in our public spaces clearly identifies us as well.
There are also new badges for the volunteers to share, including specific ones for Family History so they can be easily identified too.
A massive thanks to Ruth who both designed and organised our spiffy new toys. It's been so nice to see how excited everyone is to receive them, and how good they look on everyone....but also to have a tangible item that reminds us that RFID is no longer just *coming soon* - it's moved up the ranking to *practically here!*. This is an uber exciting time peeps, so let's get this wild ride started!
