Yes, you saw correctly, the test kiosk is now up and running in the Unley Library meeting room. Cue the squee-ing all around!

Yes, we can change the color. Yes, it currently is two toned. No, it is not supposed to be! A new LED halo is being set so we can set it to one striking colour of our choosing.

So the aim of having this test kiosk is so we can set it up to be Unley-ised (as well as it being the best training tool ever). We can play and decide what customisations we would like to implement, and once it is all tickety-boo we can copy the configuration to all of the other kiosks that we will be receiving. So think of this as a clean slate that we can add our flair to. It's a work in progress, so be flexible :)

So what do you have to do? Well come on down, and let's plaaaaaay... Have a think of how our customers are going to be using these machines, and put yourself in their shoes (well not literally, that might cross some hygienic lines). Use the machine as you think they would want to use it, and see what you discover.

There are huge butcher's paper sheets in there for you to add your questions and comments to. Have a look at the things that are already up there to see what customisations we have already put in place, and the types of things we are looking for.

We will obviously do the best we can to use this test kiosk as wonderful an experience for our customers as we can, but there are some system restrictions that we do have to work within.

The test kiosk is attached to the PRODUCTION library management system, so be aware that what you're testing will have immediate impact on the live system - so probably stick to using you and your family member's cards, and not random strangers!

There's lots of test items up there to use, but feel free to grab whatever you want to test with.
