Our New Arrival

Well yesterday afternoon was a flurry of excitement as our brand spanking new test kiosk arrived @ Unley Library. Hilariously it arrived in truly HUGE a wooden crate. You know, kinda like this...

...but with less zoo animals.

The crate was so big that it physically could not fit through any door (or ramp) into the library building/town hall, and it was almost 5:00PM so there were no Depot staff around that we could summon to assist. So instead we had an impromptu problem solving exercise and managed to get the crate open and the kiosk inside the workroom with some awesome team work, some life saving screwdrivers from the Toy Library, and a bit of recruited muscle.

So from here the next step is to get the unit up into the first floor meeting room (hopefully my measurements are correct and it will fit through the doors and in the lift!). The Response Team have sussed it out and will be back Monday morning to get it happening. The Monday arvo FE Tech will be on site to get it connected and setup. Then we can play and test away and get familiar with what will become our new library best friend - halo and all.
